This policy explains how Baby & Co handles personal information when you browse, use an account or basket, place an order, or contact us. Read it alongside our Terms of Service.

Information and its uses

The information involved depends on the features you use:

  • Account and contact details: details you provide, such as your name, email address and phone number, to manage your account and communicate with you.
  • Shopping and order details: basket contents, selected products, quantities, delivery details and order history, to process your requests and orders.
  • Payment information: payment status, transaction references and information needed for the payment method you choose, to reconcile payments and handle eligible refunds.
  • Support information: messages, order references and any photos or documents you send, to answer questions and resolve problems.
  • Technical information: information generated when the service is used, such as browser or device details, access records and diagnostics, where collected to maintain the site, protect accounts and investigate errors or misuse.

We use information for the purposes explained when it is collected, to provide the requested service, meet legal obligations and protect against misuse, on the grounds permitted by applicable law. Please share only what is needed. Do not send passwords, payment PINs or one-time security codes to support.

Cookies and choices

Essential cookies and similar storage support sign-in, your basket, security and preferences. Where optional services are enabled, use the site's cookie choices to accept or decline optional cookies. Browser settings can also limit cookies, but blocking essential storage may prevent some features from working.

If optional marketing is offered, you can choose whether to receive it and withdraw your choice through the available unsubscribe option or by contacting us. Necessary account, order and support messages are separate from marketing. Simply browsing does not mean you agree to every optional use of your information.

The cookie preferences include optional Analytics and Marketing categories. Where enabled with your choice, marketing cookies may share purchase activity, click identifiers and hashed email addresses or phone numbers with Meta and Google for advertising measurement. Hashing changes the format of contact details; it does not necessarily make them anonymous.

When information is shared

Where needed for a service you use, relevant information may be handled by providers supporting the website, account access, payment, delivery or customer communications. Sharing must be limited to what is needed for that purpose and subject to appropriate safeguards. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or lawfully necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims.

If a service involves processing outside Bangladesh, applicable transfer requirements and safeguards must be met. Contact us for information about the providers and locations relevant to your data. Using WhatsApp or another external service also involves that service's own privacy terms.

Security and retention

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss and misuse. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Information is kept for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, applicable recordkeeping duties and the handling of disputes or legal claims. Different records may need different retention periods. When information is no longer needed and there is no lawful reason to retain it, it should be deleted or made non-identifying. Closing an account does not necessarily erase records that must legally be kept.

Your requests

You may request access to your information, correction, deletion, a portable copy where applicable, or information about its use and sharing. You may also object to processing or withdraw consent where applicable. These rights depend on the law and may have exceptions. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.

Contact us using the details below. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. We will explain any applicable limits and handle requests within the legally required time. Contacting us does not restrict your right to seek a remedy from a competent authority or court.

Children

Customers under 18 should use shopping and account services through a parent or legal guardian. Where a child's information is involved, the required guardian consent and legal safeguards apply. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information without the necessary consent.

Updates and contact

We will update the date above when this policy changes and provide any further notice or consent request required by law. A policy update does not create consent for past processing or unrelated new uses.
